As the flower matures and the pod forms there will be a delicious white pulpy material inside that forms the bean that will eventually be fermented and become the dark color and ground down into what you know as chocolate.
A little extra cocoa butter and sugar is added to the cocoa liquor to make the perfect consistency and sweetness and just like that chocolate is born.
