The Flower


Like any other fruit, the cacao pod starts as a beautiful flower.  

Stay tuned as we bring you more detailed pictures and information on these beautiful flowers that produce such an amazing fruit.


As the flower matures and the pod forms there will be a delicious white pulpy material inside that forms the bean that will eventually be fermented and become the dark color and ground down into what you know as chocolate. 


A little extra cocoa butter and sugar  is added to the cocoa liquor to make the perfect consistency and sweetness and just like that chocolate is born.

From the farm

Our Cacao is fermented where it is grown.  All of the bacteria and yeast from the local area help to break the beans down the correct way.  Again stay tuned for more articles on how this actually gets done.
